PCB 2017

The week after the 4th of July, the kids and I loaded up with my parents and went to Panama City Beach. Lance didn't get to come cause we were selling chickens the day of and the day after we left. He hates the beach anyway, so no big deal, lol.
This was both kid's first summer vacation to the beach that didn't involve a peanut conference.

The obligatory "we're at the beach on the balcony" picture.

 The kids loved the beach.

They loved the water even more. I bought both of them a boogie board. Reed turned into a little surfer dude, and Jade could've floated on hers all day long.
It showered occasionally, but we got to see a few pretty rainbows from it.
One day we took a pirate cruise. I highly recommend it if you have kids!

The kids swabbed the deck, had water gun fights, sword fights, found buried treasure, had a conga line, did the chicken dance. It was a lot of fun.

And you can't go to the beach without visiting an amusement park and racing some go karts. Jade wasn't tall enough to ride anything, but Reed rode a few rides with me and got to drive a go kart for the first time!

What's a beach trip without airbrush shirts? It was a great trip and hope we can do it again next year! And maybe one of these years Lance might join us. 😂

Surprise! Again...

I have some impatient children. This one wasn't quite as impatient as Reed, when my water broke unexpectedly at 32 weeks, but when she came, she was sure in a rush!
Meet Jade Cheyenne Miller!
She was born July 27th at 7:55 AM, weighing 6lbs 8ozs and was 19 1/2" long. A whole 3 lbs and 3 1/2" more than Reed. A ginormous baby, lol.
In just like Reed fashion, I woke up early Monday morning at 4:10 (Reed was 5:00 AM on a Sunday) with my water breaking. Of course, I was 37 1/2 weeks pregnant, so I could have just peed on myself, lol.
After deciding this was not the case, I woke Lance up, and we started getting ready to go to the hospital. About 5:00, contractions started around six minutes apart. By the time we got to the hospital, contractions were three minutes apart, and I was dilated to a seven!
The nurses said that if I pushed, she would probably come right out, but don't push! Yep, breech, just like Reed. She was supposed to be a scheduled c section anyways, so that wasn't a big deal. I was just supposed to get to skip those pesky contractions this time. I got the, uh, best of both worlds with both kids.
I had to lay there 20 minutes waiting on lab work to get back before I could get any drugs, geeze Louise! I swear I had a hundred nurses working on me at once.  I was in the express lane, lol. At 7:55, Jade was born!
Reed likes her, so far, haha. He wants to help do everything for her and likes to rub her head and sing to her.
He also likes to high five and give her fist bumps.
She's already flopping back and forth, can raise her head for a few seconds, and only wakes a couple times a night for a bottle. A big difference compared to Reed!

She only cries when she's hungry and I'm being too slow, or when she poops. Not a big fan of the poop.
Stay tuned for more pictures!

Christmas 2014

I'm so close to being all caught up blogging! I couldn't leave out pictures from December 2014 though...

Reed's church Christmas play. Notice who played the part of the trouble making camel sitting in the floor.

Our yearly family Santa photo. Reed still won't take one alone!

We also took a trip to Pigeon Forge in the camper right before Christmas...

We also had an ugly sweater party. Check out our awesome outfits! I made my skirt and Lance's shirt!

Reed left some milk and cookies for Santa...

got lots of presents from Santa...

and had lots of fun with family!

Santa also brought Reed a new room!

I removed some drawers from an old dresser, chest of drawers, and night stand and painted them with chalk paint.

He got a "new" bunk bed...

and new Farm/Ranch themed decorations. He loved it!

A Little Beach Trip...

Hello Hello? Is this thing on? It's been a ridiculously busy summer, so I'm way behind on blogging about what's been happening! Earlier in June, we took our yearly vacation to the Smokies, but this year we had a bonus vacation! To the beach! This was only possibly because we went to the Southern Peanut Growers Conference at Edgewater Beach Resort in Panama City Beach, FL! (Thank goodness for conferences!) It was Reed's first trip to the beach, and my parents went to babysit him while we were in meetings. When we weren't in meetings, here's the fun stuff we did...

Reed loved the splash pad at the hotel!

We also took him to his first amusement part-Miracle Strip! I've been going there since I was little, but it closed in 2004. Someone else has slowly started buying the old rides back and building it back, so exciting! Reed really enjoyed it! And so did I! Not sure about Lance though, lol).

What beach trip would be complete without an airbrushed t shirt??
