I cannot believe it is already time for Reed's 2nd birthday. But it is. And here are the pictures to prove it. This year's birthday theme was Sesame Street! He loves the show and carries around an Ernie and Cookie Monster everywhere he goes. I found a lot of ideas on Pinterest that I couldn't wait to try! I think I was more excited than he was!
This was the food/drink table. I decorated all the tables with Sesame Street wrapping paper from the Dollar Tree. I cooked hot dogs in a Crock Pot (4 hours on low, no water needed). To drink, we had cokes, strawberry lemonade, water, and juices.
To keep the water and juices cold, I froze water balloons and threw them in the tub. That way you won't have drinks floating around in water later.
And the goodie table...

And my most favorite part...Sesame Street Cupcakes!
These were made by my Aunt Candie. If you have ever seen any other awesomely decorated cakes on my blog, they have been made by her.
We had Cookie Monster, Oscar, Elmo, Big Bird, Grover, Ernie, and Bert!
For the favors, I used strawberry buckets and labeled them as "Oscar's Trash Bucket." I lined them with tissue paper. I bought all the favors (Sesame Street coloring book, board book, memory card game, stickers, and cup) from the Dollar Tree.
Now for a few birthday boy pictures!
He picked out Cookie Monster to be his "birthday candle cake."
Yum, yum. He later smeared it in his hair.
And last but not least, opening gifts with all his buddies. Happy Birthday Reed!
What an AWESOME party for lil Reed! You are a VERY creative, loving mommy, and it shows in all the work you went to. He's a lucky lil boy to have you and Lance. XOXO
