Miracle Carpet Stain Cleaner!

Here is my offending stain. Not sure what it is or how it got there. It was nearly impossible to get a good picture of it due to my carpet color/lighting/flash/whatever, but I promise it's right there in the center! Now, on to how to remove offending stain!
Make a mixture of 1 cup ammonia, 1 cup hot water, and put in a spray bottle. Spray the stain until wet.
Place a light colored towel/handkerchief/pillowcase on top of the stain and iron it. Yes, iron it.
Why a light colored cloth? So you can see the stain come off your carpet and be absorbed into the towel!
Tada! Amazing!! I haven't found anything it wouldn't remove yet. It works wonders on pet stains. Now, go clean your carpets!

  1. Hi Steph! You know that method you use is ideal for removing hardened oil or wax from carpets. Recently, I learned that you can use dawn dish soap and steam iron to remove blood, coffee, and tea stains. It’s never advisable to use bleach because it might cause discoloration.

  2. Nice job! You shouldn't have to suffer these pesky stains, so it would be wise to have to means to take that stuff out as soon as we see it. A more extensive cleaning will then have to be done sooner or later, so that the marks do not permanently stain the fabric.

  3. I spilled my drink on the carpet and I have tried literally everything to get it out! If my wife comes home and sees that I've taken my drink into the living room, she'll kill me. If this doesn't work, I'm contemplating calling a professional to see if he can get in and out before she gets home. http://www.carpetcleanerredlands.com/index.html
