A Poppin' Good Shower!

Back in August, my family had planned to throw me a shower, but due to unforeseen baby having circumstances, it was put off until this past weekend.
As you can see by this totally awesome banner that I made, the theme was "Already Popped".
We had tons of food, most of it with a "pop" theme.
Rice Krispie treats-"Snap, Crackle, Pop". (I also made these signs!)
We also had popcorn shrimp, popcorn chicken, popovers, Poptarts,
 and of course, popcorn!
To make us feel better about ourselves, we threw in a few fruits and veggies.
My favorite part of the table was my cake! It was made by my Aunt Candie. It is completely edible (except for the wagon)!
As we take a closer look, you can see that Baby Reed has taken the wheel of Daddy's tractor.
Me, the concerned mother, is chasing after him.
Uh oh, Daddy got a little ran over in the process.
And what kind of farming incident would be complete without chickens everywhere?
I also had a candy bar! It was put together by my Aunt Robin at Alabama Slacker Mama.! She has more shower pics posted on her blog! The banner on top says "Thanks for Popping By".
There were Smores Pops (made by my mom!)
 Baby Bottle Pops, Push Pops
Blow Pops (check out that cute mini Reed banner!)
Caramel Apple Pops, Pop Rocks, Ring Pops
 Tootsie Pops, Lollipops
and of course popcorn! You could fill up one of those cute popcorn boxes (which said "Thanks for Popping In" and had Reed's stats on the other side) with lots of goodies!
We also had some very cute decorations on the tables!
See those diapers? Reed wore them when he was born. They are the size of the palm of your hand!
Can you tell what's going on here? The tractor has a diaper on and is drinking the bottle, haha.
Anyways, we want to thank everybody for throwing us a great shower!

  1. Your shower looked amazing. Up here we always host showers about three weeks to a month after a babes born. I think the way you guys do it down in the States is great beforehand (except for this case I realize) so you still have your wits about you.

The cake is absolutely amazing and hilarious to boot. I keep meaning to send something to you in the mail --- I have your Auntie's address, and haven't yet, but know I am thinking about you and will get something out of the house sometime! I have a new little one too and don't get to town often-it's ridiculous actually! :)

ps - my family is in DC and knew a man over from China in the govt. His family was coming to visit him and none of them had ever seen a real farm! Even tho ours is small - In China most "farms" are just an acre(leased from govt) of crop n critters!
