The Stowaway...

You read about most of our camping adventures in my previous post, but I failed to mention one little detail. We had a stowaway! Imagine our surprise when this popped out of our cooler!
"Henry, what are you doing in there?!"

"Where is your luggage?! Oh, I see."

Well, since he's here, might as well make the most of it.
Henry took us for a drive around loop road.

He wanted to see the beautiful mountain scenery.

He let us drive so he could feel the cool wind in his hair!

Henry has never been here, and he didn't want to miss one moment!
Geez, all this touring has made Henry tired and thirsty!

We decided to head back to camp and just hang out for a bit.

While we were in camp, Henry made a new friend!

In order to apologize for throwing out our underwear to make room for his bananas, Henry decided to cook for us! I can't wait to see what he whips up for us in the dutch oven!

You needed a recipe for marshmallows?! Um, thanks Henry.

After we ate, we rode our bikes! A 26 inch bike might be a bit big for Henry. A 24 inch would do much better.

We also walked to a waterfall!

Henry! It's not your turn for a picture!

All of these exciting adventures have qualified Henry to become a "Junior Park Ranger"!
Ranger Henry would like to thank you for visiting this blog and would also like to say, "Only You Can Prevent banana theft Forest Fires!"

  2. Well, my word, Steph, you really didn't think he was going to let you leave him at home.

I LOVE the pics -- Henry and the squirrel is hilarious. And Henry "hanging around" had me LOL.

    Great story. (((HUGS)))

  6. The pic that gets me is at the waterfall. His leg is sticking up in the air like a cat's! Too funny! Both blogs about the trip were fanstastic, and the pics even better! Heck, I wish I had a breakfast that looked that good out of a kitchen, much less an open fire!

  7. What a crack-up! I have a Henry as well, but he is a mischievous elf, and I'm more than a little afraid of him.
Your guy is way cuter, and friendly to boot!

  8. I love these posts you are doing. They are great. When my hubby (TNT) and I were just dating his niece sent him Flat Stanley and wanted TNT to take him on an adventure. The hubby had no clue what he was going to do with him. So I took over and the niece's teacher said that was the best Flat Stanley adventure she'd had in her 10 years of teaching. I would guess most people don't do much, but I went all out. I think did two posts on my blog about it a while back. It was a great time.
